Hey Goooodmen!

It’s autumn, isn’t it? Autumn is a time for sports, food, and other things.

Last weekend, I enjoyed the autumn season of art by visiting the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art.

The museum itself is famous as one of Tadao Ando’s famous architectures.
Have you heard of Tadao Ando? He is a world-famous architect born in Osaka.
His achievements are so great that in 1995 he was awarded the Pritzker Prize, the Nobel Prize in architecture.

His masterpiece is the “Church of Light” in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture.

One of the most famous characteristics of his works is the use of poured concrete.
This church is another example of this characteristic.
The upper part of the cross is, of course, suspended from above without any concrete support.
It weighs a whopping 10 tons.
The construction company that helped to lower the cost of the building has also contributed to the construction of the church.

I’d like to go there once!
I hope you all enjoy the fall season!
See you soon!
